Carrying a motorcycle without a trailer

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a rack or carrier to mount a motorcycle on the back of a 4X4 so I don't have to use a trailer?

Yes, thats what I'm after. Does anyone know if they are legal in Australia, I've seen them on the back of Winebagos but on my Patrol the wheels will stick out on either side.

I've seen em on buses and stuff - a lot of round australia tourists have the faithful combo of old bus and postie bike.

You'd get away maybe with a little postie bike or trail bike but not a full on road bike - too much weight to mount like a pushbike.

you ,might want to check the static weight your towbar can handle before you go ahead as well.
most bars are for pulling not for a weight above and behind the mounts.

Yeah, the bike only weighs 102kg and I've seen similar setups on the web that go up to 250kg, but haven't been able to locate anything in Australia yet. Any ideas of where to look?
