Club Trips - Victoria

Truckster (Vic)

What sort of trips are clubs doing at the moment? I got rail-roaded into trip coordinator, and lookin for ideas to suggest to others.

The more you look, it appears as though there are more closures everywhere this yr than previous yrs. Difflock Dan did a reccy on weekend for a trip round Rubicon, but same as he found at Gemmy(which is different closures), lots of tracks that used to be open ths time of yr arent.. even some main/larger ones.

Looking to run day trips, from Novice, through to Hard, but with Toolangi being flattened, that sorta stuffs that. Not lookin for tracks to wreck cars, these are all daily drivers.

Anyone been up Rocky Track and surrounds lately? Havent done it myself in 12+ mths (did it 3-4 times in 2 mths got bored of it at the time). What is left there, the Steps are gone, is Vic Range seasonal? What else is up there thats challenging thats open adn not flattened?

Woods point is largely seasonal round there, same as Walhalla from memory (Rudi?)...

Ideas or any trip notes anyone?

Thanks.

Yeah I know, but it's ~$9k in parts so far, then add labour and extra parts (now money in the bank) and you can understand that it wasn't going to happen overnight.

Started buying the bits October last year so it has been a progressive financial drain, but I got a good tax return which has helped the labour side of things to be cash only with minimal amounts on the C/card.

Next up: insurance (your pet subject lol)

Hi PJD

Sorry mate I was lead through there and there were some great track, they make the hills very steep around there, recall some hills mrs Al call the F F track. Ray has pointed you in the right direction, he knows more about it. Glenn Vic is a great leader and took us through there.
