turbos for deisels

I am contemplating a turbo for my 100 series landcruiser should i consider an intercool type and will I gain better fuel economy as well as better performance?

the day started off great, flat tire...

then go to Bridgestone Frankston.... Rip all tires off rims, clean out beads, then balance the lot, $28! They stuffed up somehow! But that made my day!!!
