Just done a trip to the Kimberly and Darwin in a 100 Series diesel GXL at the start of the trip I had less than 10,000 ks and covered over 13,500.
I found if I kept the speed less than 100 kph I got 23mpg over 100 kph it went as low as 18 mpg.
As the car is still new I hope this to Improve.
Previously I had 80 series part time 4x4. Loaded up even with a roof rack at speeds over 100kph I averaged 25mpg.
