She will have so much to contend with in the future, big shoes to fill, the widely reported fact that he was doing a story for her show, expectations of everyone etc

A hell of a lot for a kid to shoulder

Was in San Fran around '99 and my son said,as soon as they all found out he was from Oz,the asked if he knew the "Crocodile Hunter".He replied, yes,he had seen Paul Hogan on TV..They asked "who's Paul?"..He told them..They had never heard of him..They said they watch Steve Irwin every week as "The Crocodile Hunter".He is a legend over there.Better known than even the Phantom "Oh ghost who walks"..Back to the darlings of our great nation,Bindi and her mum..Bindi has the advantage of reflecting on a past filled with warmth of a great family realationship, intertwined with the fun aspect so often missing during those formitave years as adult coulpes struggle in the early years of marriage to become established for the long haul ahead (well, for about 20% these days)..Mix in a bundle of adrenalin rushes and "over the top" conquests with the wild animals (or at least, animals from the wild) as she worked/played with her family and close friends as the "Wild-life Park" and elsewhere. These memories will work as the mould to further enhance her character as she struggles during her life, with the complexities of dealing with animals, people and the ever increasing demands placed on those of us in either the business world and even more so,dealings with the public, especially with such a high profile.Steve manged to pull it off as few others could.Bindi is fortunate to have inherited much of Steve's strength of character, while her mothers valued traits will assist to smooth out some of the "pot-holes" on her highway through life..God luck to you both, and remember,Australia loves you both. !MPG:6!

Oops ! Sorry Bob ! Never gave you a mention young mate..Trouble is Bob,as you get older you will notice that the ladies get the most attention in the media and in the "Real World"..Guess the system was designed that way.Us guys have to get used to "playing second fiddle" unless you by chance, happen to become a "media magnet" like your dear old dad..Then,there would probably be times when you wish you could be the runner up and have some privacy, anyway. You are now the man of the family, but just don't let it happen too soon.Enjoy your wonderful, formitive childhood years with your little family.Best of luck to Terri,Bindi and Bob from RockyOne (Brian)

I feel there is going to be some real sad times in that family. Every family will be affected greatly by the death of the father but I think in this case it will be more so then usual. How quiet will it be at home now without Steve's loud and enthusiastic behaviour.

For this fact alone I feel very sorry for them indeed.
