The best place to camp?

Submitted: Monday, Oct 02, 2006 at 21:27

Jimbo

I think I've found it. The Boomanoomana State Forest, just West of Mulwala in Southern NSW, on The Murray River. Just over the border (obviously being on The Murray) from Yarrawonga in Vic.

Remarkably beautiful. Sandy beach, plenty of space, lots of River Redgums, sensational weather. Peering across The Murray from our camp, to the other side, at magnificent bush.

We only planned to stop there for a few days and then head down to Sheepyard Flat. It was so good we stayed for nine days and then went home.

Give it a go.

Jim.
