A good friend of
mine who lives in the southern suburbs of
Melbourne has a Pajero iO which developed an intermittent fault about 2 months ago. Occasionally it will loose all power and come to a halt. The engine still runs at idle OK but as soon as he tries to move off again it refuses to do so. After a while (varies) it will run again, perfectly normally, for anything from a few minutes to a week.
So far he has spent $500 between the main Mitsubishi dealer and an independent auto electrician neither of who have a clue! And are now reduced to “we’ll change this bit and see if that fixes it”!
My money is on a connector issue but who knows?
Can anyone recommend a service facility which is capable of tracing intermittent faults?

Halls Gully Automotive
Clyde St
Ferntree Gully
See Brian Jones
A Family company, they used to run a 2nd hand dealership but now only have a workshop, I've been using them for 20 years
They have a very wide knowledge and are honest and reliable

Hi Mike , you can try Anthony at Mobil car care in Prahran . with a referral from Eric Christopher , or a better option for a issue like this , is to pop into Chadstone Mitsubishi and ask for tony , the service tech, if you mention my name , he will try to help.
cheers
