Grams to Ounce's

Can anyone remember how many gram's there are ot 1 ounce ? I , been metric to long and forgotten my pound's and ounce's . Thanks Errol

16 ounces to the pound , 2.2 pound to the kilo ,, body weight 14 pound to the "stone" ,,,, fluid as per beer 13oz = 375 ml x 24 as in stubbies/cans = 2 gallons = 9 lt.

Hello - ounces arent ounces - there are two types of "ounce" so you need to be more specific. There is the avdp (avoirdupois) sytem (~28.350 grams per ounce) and the troy (~31.103 grams). The troy ounce is now only used to express the mass of precious metals such as gold, platinum or silver. So if we are talking 1 ounce of gold its about 31 grams. You will need to ensure you use the correct conversion depending on what you are measuring. A gram is a gram - but you will be ripping someone off if you sell them a 28 gram gold nugget and just tell them it weighs an ounce.

Google now supports conversions. Just type "n grams in ounces" into the search box and it will convert. Works for just about anything.
