Rancho RS9000 ride adjustable shocks

I have a GU Patrol and I am trying to unravel all the mumbo jumbo out there you get fed by people who tell you their shocks are the best. Has any body heard any reports on the Rancho RS9000 ride adjustable shock or better still have a set fitted on their vehicle.

Both Rancho and Old Man Emu shock start life on a major assembly line along with other brands but the casings are removed from the assembly line and machined and polished inside before being hand assembled with value and internal components designed for off road. The final product cannot be compared with mass market shocks. I have run Old Man Emu for 2 years and I'm very happy with these Australian Made shocks. When it comes time to replace them it will be a tough choice between another set of OME or Rancho.

Hi Allan, I put Rancho5000's on my Rangie and found them to be excellent. My mates were so impressed they tossed out their near new shocks on both Nissans and Tojos and replaced them with Ranchos. They guarantee them for as long as you own the vehicle, not bad eh?!

I follow a email/web list on Patrols - www.topica.com/patrol4x4 - A few people are using them and like them, often with serious lift kits ie 4" - 7" of coil spring lift.

But for ride they are reported to be good, and I am planning on fitting them to my 1998 GU Patrol - 4500 Petrol.
