Hi There Guys,

I have some 100 series rims in the old mans shed and I'm looking to find them a new home. Only problem is that i'm not sure if they fit non IFS 100 series as well as the later IFS models.

What there the signs to look for so I know which model they're from?

I have photos of them it that helps (not sure how to post them). They are 16x8 look like alloys, 5 stud.

Thanks,
Alex

They look like steel from here, but I don't know how to tell if they are for live axle or IFS.

Hi Alex,
First off, they are the standard Toyota factory steel wheels off a 100 Series wagon.

They look like they came off a live front axle model from the offset in the photo's.

Hope that helps,

If your keen to sell and not far from Newcastle we might be able to talk.

Oh, I forgot to add, the live front axle and IFS rims aren't interchangeable, legally.

The IFS rims will fit on a live axle but not the other way around.

Thanks everyone for your quick replies. Maybe I should have taken a magnet to them to see if they were alloy first. I just made the assumption from their weight. That's assume the alloy rims don't have a high ratio of iron for a magnet to stick.

Alex,
They are 16x8 steel rims from a live axle 100series (1Hz and 4.5 petrol). They will NOT fit IFS (TD and V8)
They will also fit 78/79series LandCruisers.

Sell them to Geoff!

Cheers
phil

I probably should have done my research first. I chucked them on ebay with the wrong description (nice one huh). Thought they weren't worth a great deal and would have very little demand being standard rims from the current model cruiser. I wish i'd put them up on the forum now if they are wanted. If anyone is interested there isn't much I can do, they'll probably go for a song. Special thanks to everyone who helped me work out what I was selling before i had a real bleep off customer.

Alex,
They are very popular - people like to use them on the 78/79series. A set of 4 usually go for over $600 on Ebay - you'll do well.

Cheers

We found a set of five in a shed at Blackbutt that where still in their boxes and got the whole set for $60 so that was the deal (or steal) of the century. We had spent a couple of months prior to this looking and there was nothing in Australia at the time in May this year.
