I'm going to cry, my new 4.2L patrol might have to go

Its a business decision I did not want to make, my 2005 Patrol ST 4.2L has to go.

If any one is interested let me know it is fully equipped, I only just had a snorkel fitted the beginning of last month, it has a 2" old man emu suspension lift 285/75/17I think, any way its a 33" equivalent. Bfg Muddies.

Arb air locker fitted to front diff, ARB winch bar with 9000lbs warn winch, tow bar, spotties and has only 26,000Klm on the clock.

I have to part, for a Ute and also a Van.

I would appreciate some feedback on the new Toyota Hilux 4x4 Diesel, I compared the specs against a Nissan Navara Diesel and the Navara seemed slightly better.

This vehicle will be a promotional vehicle so I will be lifting it and sticking big wheels under it, 33" if possible.

Is there any do;s or dont's for either, will one be easier to lift than the other.

I'm assuming I will have to go a 3-4" lift. Are they available?

Mechanically what are they like have there been any problems with either?

Cheers,
Babs.

Babs, you will find both the Hilux and Navara are difficult to get a lift out of in the front end without fairly major engineering, but it can be done. I'm not sure if you have condidered it but you can get a Patrol Wagon turned into a dual cab with a chassis extension and tray back for around $15K. They are doing style sides now too. You will drop at least this much changing vehicles and being somewhat unique it could suit your promotional purpose.

Hi OT, after submitting my post I was surfing the net and found snake racing has a 4" lift for the new hilux which will allow a 33" tyre to fit, without having to change any of the factory camber or Castor.

As for my truck that's a good idea about a conversion, but I need the colour of my Patrol to change as well from silver to black.

I will look into that as every thing is an option at this stage.

Thanks OT
