Have searched the archives but can find nothing on alternative bags other than those supplied by Sunbeam.
Does anyone have experience with other brands and , if so, verdict and cost please.

If you need the bags with the "checkerplate" pattern they are quite expensive but are reusable, though this is not recommended for meat.
Recently I bought 50 200x300mm and 50 250x350mm for $67. I think I threw in 100 normal bags for when I wanted to seal but not vacuum but they are very cheap in comparison. I got them from the local butcher supplies outlet so try the yellow pages.
I couldn't source any from the Internet except ones in packs of 20 that were nearly double the price.

Pedro,
We also get bags for our Orved machine from the local butcher supply
shop - $20-30 per 100 depending on size/type. Might be worth making sure they suit your Sunbeam before you buy.

I buy them in rolls from the US. Very handy as you can make the size you need. Forgotton web site but you find them easily with google.

Came across one site where 2 rolls are US$12.85
site
So far so good as this is under $16 aussie , which is way under price here.
However, shipping US $34 makes it very expensive.
Bijengum, what did it cost you for shipping, and any chance you can find the name of supplier?
