The past few times I have started the troopy in the morning ie a cold start it starts to rock and roll a bit and run fairly rough, as though it starving for fuel.

About 20 seconds later it seems to run fine.

Its a 75 series,1995 with 14100km on the clock. Any ideas on the problem would be appreciated.

Happy new year everyone
Regards Bob

Hi Boo Boo

Need more info on that dance.

Could be a broken engine mounting of it is a mechanical 'Rock' or a vacuum leak if a Tune-up 'Rock'

LOL

In my old petrol cars I would have thought it needed a tune up, but as I say it seems to run fine after about 20 seconds.

There is no apparent loss of power and on the road it semms ok.

It feels like when you change the fuel filter and haven't primed it properly. If that makes sense.

On a diesel it could be an injector or glow plug.

Best to have it checked out.

I'd guess at a dodgy glow plug on one cylinder.

Mine also does that sometimes, not every time and as you said after 20 s it;s ok, gives me the impression that it might lack a bit of fuel or has a little air in the system. mine has over 650,000 on it now

Thaks fella's I love it when you talk dirty and money at the same time.

I'll go and see my mechanic this week and at least I might sound a bit intelligent when I sugest it might be a glow plug etc.

After xmas I hope its a cheap problem.
