I had a look through archives but no luck,so has any one purchased a auxiliary (sub) tank for a NP Pajero Exceed.

I seen a couple while staying at the Karumba C/P.
Didn't get to catch up with the owners.

Been on a couple web sites but didn't do any good.

So if anyone can help with contact where to buy from and or prices of Items, installation and how big (capacity) .

Happy New YEAR to all'
Cheers

www.pajeroclub.com.au - there's quite a few posts on the tanks. Main models seem to be Brown Davis, Long Ranger and Long Range Automotive. A rep from one company has posted there as well.

Exceed auxilaries range from 58L to 70L - haven't fitted one.

Jeff, a bloke of your abilities could easily build his own tank. They aren't that complicated. Have a good new year

Jeff - had the 70L auxillary fitted to our NM by Long Range Automotive here in Melbourne in '06 for our "trip of a lifetime" (I believe the NM/NP products are identical). Very impressed - well designed - effective capacity seems to be almost bang on 70L unlike some I have heard of where there is perhaps 3-5L which cannot be pumped. The installation is also very neat - especially after they gave it a coat of matt black at no extra charge. Ground clearance doesn't seem to have been affected at all - although we did combine it with an OME suspension upgrade.

Downsides? Few so far although the pump switch looks a little flimsy and there have been a couple of glitches with the guage where it has shown empty straight after a fill up! Also, the pump is a little slow - transfer of the full 70L can take around 45 minutes.

Overall though - definitely a thumbs up from me.

Cheers.

PS - came to about $1,100 fitted - can't recall supply only price.

Just remembered - the Exceed won't take the 70L tank if it has rear air-con - you may need to drop to the 58L option....

I had the 55L Long Ranger fitted on my old NM about 3 years ago for about $1100. Worked fairly well. I got a few dents in it but it didn't leak.
