the thing to look at is how many amps are required over a set period .I have a cf50 and running on 2 lights it will draw approx 1 amp per hour over a 24 hr period and a little less in the cooler weather at that setting it is running at around 4.5 dig . I have it in a well insulated bag which helps alot .I also turn it down to 1 light at night and cover it with a couple of towels . I dont know how the cf 110 goes in comparison. it will also depend what power supply you have avalible to handle the amps required .I use a 24 amp hour power pack from Waeco and am very happy with it as it is also portable and I can leave the fridge in at the camp running and still go off for a drive .Born to drive a 4x4 , not a keyboardŒPeter York 4x4

So the cf50 _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx 3.75 amps when the compressor is running & the cf110 _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx 5.83 (Amps = Watts / Volts), The duty cycle will depend on how good the insulation is (as previously mentioned) and the ambient temperature. Looks like you will get almost double the time from the cf50 therefore a with good 80ah battery this should give give you around 60 hrs with a 30% duty cycle (you won't get all 80ah from an 80ah battery, probably closer to 55 to 60ah).

There are many variables, but we bought a Waeco cf50 at Christmas itme and went camping at Inskip Point. There were 10 of us. We froze everything before we left and ran the fridge as a freezer. We got 2 full days out of the battery without starting up the engine. Of course we had a dual battery system so it did not affect starting the Troopie and we had another battery for lights etc. We are more than satisfied with the performance of the cf50.

The cf50 would have a bdf35 Danfoss Compressor and the cf110 would have a bdf50 Danfoss Compressor hence the difference in the power consumption. This is also dependant on your usage and expectations of the units .As Peter says he has his in a insulated bag to help it perfofm due to the lack of insulation in the fridge itself , this is where the Evakool and Explorer fridges have an advantage as there insulation is very much superior to both Engels and Waeco. May be worth checking them out
