hi, we have just done our fist trip in our new (secondhand van) and on the way home a car towing a van (roadstar) the same as ours went passed us and i noticed the top of the door of the van was bowing out in the wind about 2-3 inches so checked ours when we got home and that too has the movement in it to bow out so we are thinking of putting another latch on the top part of the door to prevent this, just thought i would let others know to check this as you wouldn't know otherwise and as they say prevention is best. i think this problem would be the same with all sold doors.

You're right it is pretty standard from my knowledge.

I put two extra cam locks, keyed to main door lock, top and bottom. This also gives great security and peace of mind when away from the van. If thieves are keen, it would still be easy enough to get in through the pop top, but is still more deterent than none.

Also a triple locking door is available if you have the extra dollars. Most caravan dealers could point you in the right direction for this option.

Cheers Trevor.
