John

Can someone tell me how rough the road from Thargomindah to Innamincka is and whether it is possible to take a caravan on it. How long would it take ?

John Remynse replied:

We came through Innamincka and Thargomindah about three weeks ago. Road was in very good condition - 80-90 kph all the way. Should be no problem for caravan as long as you use normal protection from flying stones. If you want to stop and see the Dig tree don't try to tow the van in off the main road. Enjoy the trip, John R.
