Ahhh God's country down there... I used to ride motorcycles in a previous life and would spend every June long weekend
camping with a couple of thousand other two-wheelers at what was/is called the Alpine Rally (for the uninitiated, a motorcycle "rally" is purely a social
camping event held over a weekend, nothing to do with a car or motor rally). The campsite was on the Goodradigbee River, along the road that is now closed from Brindabella that eventually becomes the Long Plain Rd. Great riding/driving country, esp in winter when there was usually heaps of snow about. Geez it was
cold, though (-9C one year I remember) - thank God for Stones Green Ginger!
Any other rallygoers out there?
Cheers and beers
