bloomfield track

musher

can i drive my standard navara v6 to cooktown over easter along the track or is it best to go inland. i have some 4wd experience. i was concerned about the water crossings

All depends on the rain they have there in the previous months, Last time I travelled the Bloomfield was in Novermber and it was dry and not a problem, creeks/rivers were low.

However, best to ask around before travelling, but i would think you should be right.

G'day musher ,, for the last week we have only had a few showers up this way , the track may be a bit rough after all the past rain , but if you take your time you will be right ,, there are only a few main creek crossings , the main one being the Bloomfield ,, if you are unsure just wait a wile untill someone else comes along and crosses , then you'll know ,, won't wait long over Easter ,, just take care , you'll enjoy it ..

hi there you would be best to check with some local national parksies either go on there web an email them ,but you will probly find the rd abit rough a mate of mine has had his old navara across the top there but that was about 4yrs ago
do some research and drive safly
