Member No 1.......... Just had a look at the Mullins site again and the "Explorer RV is available in 17"x8" - 18"x8" - 18"x8.5". The wheel every 4x4 owner has waited for. Big, bold and classy to suit most 4x4 vehicles in the market today"

And on the ROH site click on the Four Wheel Drive section on the sidebar memu and the RTX model is available in 15"x7, 16"x7, 16"x8, 17"x8

Anyway, that was just as an indicator that there are aftermarket wheels in 17" available.

Hope this helps

I bought one of these as a very good copy of the 17" factory Toyota wheels that came with my 100 series (Petrol though - not sure if same on TD)

Available in 17 x 8

Site Link

Have to find invoice to remember price - was not too expensive when compared to Wreckers (if you can find one with a Toyota wheel in this size) or genuine part.

Cheers

Don't bother with the 5 wheels and tyres in the trader section as they have been sold.

Mn1,
Could always go for the cheap dodgy option.

Buy a 5stud split rim (78/79/105series) from with worn 750R16 tyre for next to nothing. Slip it under the rear as your "space saver" spare - so you no longer have a ground anchor slowing the vehicle down in sand. Put your real spare on a carrier or the roof, where you can actually get to it.

To the best of my knowledge, the 16inch rims will clear the brakes on the 100series. The offset will mean the skinny split sits out where your fat tyres do, so its not an issue. The diameter of your 275/65R17 is 790mm - the same diameter as a worn 750R16.

The only other issue to consider with any other spare is whether the wheel nuts are OK.

Cheers
Phil

Forgot to say that I'm assuming that they are IFS steel rims.
