Setec power supply in Jayco Caravan

I live in Melbourne and I have recently bought a 2005 Jayco Expanda caravan which has a 12V combined power supply, battery charger and power distribution system, model ST-35 made for Jayco by Setec. As part of the check-over I have had the 'van connected to house power over a weekend to charge the on-board battery. After a couple of days I checked the voltage at the battery and it was only 12.0 Volts. Followed this back to the controller and found the same voltage at the controller's Bat+ve pin. Disconnected the battery and it still displayed only 12.0 Volt.
This corresponds to a battery which is only half-charged and Setec's spec. which came with the van says it should be 13.7+/-0.1 volt, which is more like it.

Where in Melbourne, other than Jayco themselves or a Jayco dealer can I take the unit to have the charging voltage corrected?

I would take it back to your jayco dealer. If its out of warranty, I would expect that jayco would still offer to replace the ST35 for little or no cost.

The following is a link to the Setec website where you can download a pdf of the ST35 manual.

I have found the service crew at Bayswater jayco to be very helpful.

First check the circuit breaker. Jayco put these in the silliest places and the little button gets accidentally bumped and hey presto, you have no 240v going to anything.

I don't mind my missus having the last word, I just wish she'd get to it.
