Setting for Waeco 30Ltr

Submitted: Wednesday, May 02, 2007 at 19:46

Rumbler

Hi guys
Just fitted a 30ltr Waeco. I connected it directly to the Aux battery Via some 6mm cable (approx 2/2.5m). I assume I freeze anything beforehand that I intend to carry as frozen & place in bottom. Rest on top of that. What should I put the temp setting at to keep frozen stuff frozen without too much draw off the battery between drives?
Thank again to you all.

Hi Rumble,
With my Waeco, if I set above 3, everything ends up frozen.

Forgive my ignorance, by "above 3:, do you mean below 3 degrees?

Now I'm being confusing everyone, what I meant to say instead of "below 3 degrees" was below minus 3 degrees. Sorry.

My fault. My Waco has a round temp dial. Numbered 0 to 7. 0 is the warmest, 7 the coldest.
If I set dial at above 3 (towards 4) I get frozen bee. Not goos at the end of a hot day.
Hope this helps

Hello Rumbler,

What you may also want to do is get some corflute sign material and place the frozen stuff on the bottom, then the corflute and then the non frozen stuff.

It all depends where the thermostat sensing tube is.

What model fridge is it?
