Nissan Terrano & Winch/ Bull bar

Submitted: Thursday, May 03, 2007 at 11:08

Darren C

My brother in law has a 1990 Terrano 2.7 TD and is interested in putting winch on. ARB used to provide bullbars etc for this model but I notice from the latest catalogue that they seem to have stopped doing this, probably because they are getting too old.

Anyone got any suggestions on where (in WA) to source a bullbar that can have a winch fitted to it. Also, any recommendations on size of winch needed. He doesnt do any hard core stuff but tows a boat into some pretty narly places down south and is keen for some 'insurance'!!

Cheers
Darren

try a search for East Coast Bullbars (ECB) on google or on here - they do after market stuff for most makes and models - they supply all over Oz as well

Try the wreckers or keep an eye on E-bay for a bar for an old Navara/Pathfinder as I think they would be the same. Try calling ARB direct, they may have one on the shelf.

As for a winch, a 9000lb should do the job no worries, you might even get away with a 8000lb winch..

I have an ECB bullbar on mine. It is alloy, but a cradle could be made to fit into the steel mounts and a bit of cutting will make a hole for the cable.

Has he actually called ARB? Just because they aren't listed in the catalogue, they might still be available.
