Hi Lou,
Do a search on ExplorOz,
Free Info -Trek notes, Road conditions, Members can down load our very accurate imap dynamic maps via our Plot swap system.
ExplorOz has some of the most accurate maps available as readers can swap their latest plots interactively.
Site Link etc and

You can visit our Adventure shop.

You can even speak direct to Jackie in the shop at times using skype or at least send an IM on Skype to see what has been the most useful for people.
Hope this helps

cheers

Canning Stock Route...A Travellers Guide by Ron and Eric Guard. Highly recommended as its a blow by blow history as well as maps and comments etc.

Lou, I found it difficult to get my hands on a copy, and a member of EO helped me out. Well worth the trouble. Apparently they sell out regularly. Every stop you make along the CSR is there, history and track tips. About the only thing missing is a weather report ...and when they say take the right fork they mean it ...as a few have found out to their dismay:)))
