That is correct Tim, I have mine as per the photo above, the top outlet is breather only, the must be able to expel air when filling yje way I do it, and also must be able inhale as water is used, so my at my outlet I have a T piece, one to the tap for gravity feed and reverse fill and the other to a pump for showering, not this time of year though BBbbrrrrr , The breather I have fitted a hose to a tap with clip on fitting and small tap so I can turn off the breather if needed, I connect a short piece of garden hose to it when filling so when it is full the water don't end up inside the car ,so when the tank is filled to capacity I turn breather of so it don't also run out as if going up a steep dune etc , after the level gets down I leave it open , See the photo's of the taps and where my tank is
