Submitted: Wednesday, Aug 01, 2007 at 20:23

Coolman

All,

Heading up to Fraser Island, Dundaburra on Sunday for a week of Fishing, 4WD, and 500 not always in that order.

Anyone been up there recently?
Are the fish biting off the beach?
Is hook point open or do we need the internal track.

Hook Point still open, EPA currently doing road works on the top 11km of the Mining Road - I reckon they will close Hook after Sept school holidays - roadworks should be complete by then.

Tailor have been on the chew in good numbers at Indian Head. Fish of average quality only though. Remember annual fishing closure come into place yesterday until the end of September for 400m south of Indian, through to 400m north of Waddy, but you will find some good gutters anywhere along the rest of the beach that will hold Tailor at dawn and dusk.

Indian Head track soft and chopped up as very little rain for the past month.

Weather looks a treat for the next week so you will have a great time.

Cheers

A
