Has anyone been to Spear Creek in S.A. We are thinking of going there, towing a 20 ft. caravan, and wondered if anyone could give us some information about the place, and is this the right time of year to go there.... thankyou.

Yep - good place to stay for a couple of days - bushwalking, mountain hiking, 4w driving etc. Good camp spots - only 10 minutes off the highway too - easy. Check if they supply firewood - might need to take some - a good fire is essential in the Flinders at this time of year :-o)

Numerous fire rings with free firewood provide the ambience of the bush. Spear Creek is a very special place on our earth and provides a unique experience for all those who wish to regenerate their souls.

Spear Creek is a Family Parks Caravan Park. You'll be able to hook up to power. It has the usual amenities. You can either come in from Stirling North, or the Horrocks Pass road to Wilmington. It's a great Place to stay.

was there about 4 weeks ago, top spot. Very nice in the gully of the flinders. All the mod cons of caravan parks with the quiet tranquil life of the flinders.
