I finally found someone who makes heavy duty brackets for fitting Codan Auto Tune HF radio antenna to the back of the Prado so that you dont have to remove the antenna to change a spare tyre.

The bracket was manufactured at a similar price to the light duty brackets. They offer a greatly reduced price for quantity (five brackets or more) and it have been good to do a group buy if others were looking for a real bracket.

I am very happy with this bracket. It is very solid, 6mm * 75mm steel with a 10mm plate where the antenna bolts to the bracket.

I have some photos so if you can provide me with an email I am happy to provide them as I am sure your readers will be interested.
