We have run them on some of our work vehicles for some time now and seem to get pretty good service out of them for the price. Although most of that has been blacktop use.

Trevor M (SA) replied:

haven't had an issue with mine and would recommend them for the price certainly.

Had Pirelli's before and 3 of the 4 developed sidewall bubbles.

Just got back from a Simpson crossing with 3 vehicles. The only tyre problems were on 1 vehicle who did 3 Coopers in 40 k's! (none of us are likely to buy them from now on!)

G'day Eric,

As this is my first set of big horns, would love to know what I might expect in regards to wear? What sort of Km's are you getting out of them?

Both Peter and I use then.

Peter has been using them for years and wont use anything else.

He finally convinced me to get a set and to date no problems and they dont seem to chip like some other very well known brand.

I dont gauge the longevity of a trye by ks traveled people use and drive many different ways so I feel this is not a true gauge.

As said else were on this thread some one gets 100,00 out of a set of BFG allterains when I used the same tyre I got about 50,000.

All the best

Just wondering what kind of wear people are getting from them. I am due new tyres in the next couple of weeks and was considering whether to get the Maxxis or stick with my BFG AT's. The current price is definately attractive, but considering that I have managed 110,000 kms on my current set of BFG's it makes it a pretty hard decision.

hi RFLundgren

people are getting anywhere between 60-80,000 kms out of them but it just all depends on how they are treated at the end of the day e.g. regular wheel ballance, rotation & wheel alighnment and to what road conditions they are mainly used on

cheers shane

I've got 'em on the Chevissan. They were there when I bought the car and they were nearly new.

They seem to wear OK but I've never had so many sidewall punctures - but then again, I do lot of cross country stuff and maybe I'm just having a bad run.

I have the Bravo 751's on the Daihatsu and so far no complaints.
The 751 are good on and off road. Good in sand and on gravel but clog up very quickly in mud though. Pretty good for AT tyre.

Hope this helps

I have the Trepador's on my play truck and I just love the performance when it's wet and slippery (offroad) but forget it if the same conditions are found onroad LOL!! I have not had them very long km's wise so can't help with longevity advise.

Good value tyre in my opinion.

Justin, put a set on 2 weeks ago {751 A/T 265X70X16'S} with 13 mm of tread they seem a real bargain, did a lot of digging before I bought them and the reports were 60 to 70 K's of this particular tyre, at $179.00 each fitted a good deal, too early to say but so far excellent value for money,
regards,
Dave

Hi Justin

Wanted tall and not to wide muddies for my Patrol.
Very limited range available so got Maxxis Big Horns in 255/85/16 about 6 months ago.

Can't fault yet , don't seem to chip like my same size cooper st.

I don't think they are anything special just honest basic tyres.
