Can't comment on Cairns. They are like most, an individual business using a corporate name, so how good they are depends entirely on how good the individual store owner is.

I have dealt with two OL stores and received excellent service and products, have also dealt with the third that was decidely average.

You will need to make up your own mind

I have been in there 5 or 6 times but have never purchased anything because TJM have always been a fair bit cheaper on the items I wanted. I can not fault the customer service i have had....just the prices.

I have purchase items from "OP" in Melbourne and could not fault them at all, the advise and service was very good and the items were A1.
I purchase a full recovery kit and Strato's seat with mounting brackets from them and all work great.
They also helped me out with a few things that they did not sell, in which I was very impressed by.
I would use them for more stuff, but I have to travel about 100km to there shop.
I find them OK. Very helpful and they seem to give you value for money, so it seems to me that they are not going rip you off

No affiliation with them just a very happy customer.

Hey there Goobot
I have dealt with the Preston mob here about 12 mths ago for the snorkel installation. Friendly enough, only problem was, they forgot to seal it and left off half of the snorkel connection. I guess the installation only was emphasised. Thank god I didnt do a river crossing straight away .... Needless to say I took the Patrol home and finished the job off properly - myself. Would I go back? Nah. I do agree though that each store is to there own, maybe even each person that works in there. Like anything good and bad surrounds us - we just have to make the right choice.

i ended up going with them mostly based on the competetive price on this particular item...and their friendly ..enthusiastic team..


unfortunately .... and without wanting to run them down too much

I personally will never go back...
