DRIVERS DOOR FOR 1993 GO PATROL TD42 DIESEL

Hi all, Please don't ask why but I need to know if a manual window patrol door is the same as an electric one. If so I should be able to swap the electrics etc from my now wrecked door to a s/h one and save me a bit of cost in coin if not in embarrassment

I had a quick look at my Gregorys Manual.

The doors are basically the same but you might have to drill out a few holes to fit the electric components. There should be an indentation where a drill hole might be necessary. Does your GQ have central locking? That might be another conversion you will have to do.

Going offline now until later so cannot reply to any more questions for the time being.

Cheers

Thans a lot Willem, yes I do have central locking. I might see if any local wreckers have a suitable door I can examine

Nev,

When I had my GQ a few years ago, I had the door trim off to change the electric motor. The motor is in behind the arm rest and fits where the winder would normally go.
So I don't think the door is any different.

Hope this helps

On closer inspection I the hinges are deformed and I cannot be completely sure the pillars are not a touch bent so have decided to go the insurance route. Thanks to those who responded and the info may come in handy one day.
