Nav 1,
I checked with the boss at the DSE office in Heyfield three weeks ago. Most of the tracks north of Jamieson and Licola will be open as per their opening strategy on their web site.
The major one not to be opened, and they're thinking twelve months, is the Tamboritha Road. This road leads from Licola, north, to Arbuckle juction.
Parks are going to close the bitumen section which is from the southern entrance (near Licola) to the last crossing of the
Wellington River. Vicroads are also on board and may close the Tamboritha Road from Licola to the Park entrance. This will be an official road closure due to the floods with local Parks and Police patrolling same - heavy fines will apply.
The remaining section of the Tamboritha road (gravel section) will be open and access through marathon Road (north of Briagolong) after the seasonal openings will be possible - or the other non seasonal tracks through the area.
The reason for the closure is to get the Tamboritha road back to what it was like prior to the floods.
