Article Overview - Suspension
There is an unfortunate but realistic fact about purchasing a new 4WD - it won't come fitted with a suspension system designed to carry the kind of load you'll pack for a serious outback trip.

I have just sold my 2000 Fronteria to my daughter. I put a set of king spring in the rear with Tough Dog shocks front & rear. The back was lifted 2 inches & the front had the torsion bars wound up 1.5 inch.
This had the effect of taking the scrap out of trips on off road situations and gave me the ability to go a lot more
places
without bottoming out.
