Magellan 310 GPS

Does anyone have or know anything about the Magellan 310 GPS.It is considerably cheaper than 315 any info on comparisons and or features.live life to the full!!!!

the 300 310 315 330 are out dated models which were discontinued over 12 months ago
there are much better GPS units on the market
what do you want to do with the GPS?

the Geko use AAA batteries which are not cheap but if you use NiMH rechargeable batteries it would be ok.
Any of the above are preferential to the Magellan 300, 310 and 315 as they have all the needed Australian datums, better menus, better resolution screen and features.

If you can afford it, or be patient and save for a while, I would highly recommend the Garmin eMap which is a GPS model that will do everything for your needs and allow you to grow with it. The eMap has basic mapping included, but at a later date you can add a data card and comprehensive mapping.

I have a 310 ... and I bought it just so I could learn more about GPS before going to the higher models in the range. I must say it does me fine, but I am still happy with paper maps .. and it does have the capability to work with computers .. but I dont want/need that feature. It tells me where I am, and that is good enough for me ...

i recently bought a 310 off ebay so i could just use the basics before i go hi tech.
it saved us a cpl of times over easter(dont let the wife navigate).looking foward to september(landcruiser park/fraser island)
