Questions re any canvas matters ? Go back to Thread 54080 date 31-1-08.
The ulterior motive? By you asking and me answering questions without bias, I am doing market research as to what information you are looking for. And what the main problems are.
That information is usefull to me in the design of canvas products..
Thanking all those that already have replied. So far, it appears to be waterproofing, maintainance problems.

Regards. BR

PS; As most members and visitors to this site are campers, fishermen, outdoor enthusiasts etc. and 99% would own and use products that are made of canvas such as Camper trailers, Caravan annexes, Tents, Tarpaulins, Canopies etc. etc. etc. This is an excelent area to find out about problems.

Thanking You. BR

Hi BR.

A question relating to repairing small holes in a Freedom tent.

I have a couple of holes in the floor that water weeps through. These holes seem to have been caused by standing on stones or sticks under the floor. I now use a canvas ground sheet, but how should I repair the holes in the floor?

If the holes are small, use a bit of Silicone glass sealant, squeeze it through the hole and spread it out on both sides. not many glues will stick to polyethelene floors, unless your Freedom tent has a PVC floor, in which case you can glue patches on with an acetone/ketone based glue. See other feedback for more detail. Regards, BR
