I haven't had a chance to read the terms of reference, but I think it may have something to do with taking hand gun licenses away from Station owners. If that's the case, I wouldn't support the proposition.

Hand guns are used by many pastoralists to put stock down, and used as a tool to protect station staff, particularly during the muster season.

I'm a very strong advocate of education and introducing people into a precision sport under close scrutiny.

At least we don't suffer from drug problems.

I've watch many a man bring his son to the rifle range and bond with the kid through a common interest, and structured education.

Go back and read the post. There's no difference in the bush between a shovel and a gun. Depends what you do with it. A few of you need to get your head around that.
