storage of household

As we dont want to sell our whole household before going on our big trip, we will put it all in storage... Weve noticed that that is likely to become quite an expensive exercise (400$ month)... Does anyone have good/bad experience with storage? Would anyone suggest other options?
(hopefully we wont be tapped on the fingers for submitting heaps of questions..:-))

Bart and Marjan storage is quite good through a reputable firm however make sure you check their,s and your insurance policies to make sure your covered i personally had to take out insurance. ps $400 per month seems excessive
