We haven't been arrested yet.
With a caravan which may be also covering the next pump access, i get out while Rooster moves away and parks. I go pay, then we both may use the conveniences, and buy a drink or snack. Business goes on at the bowsers meanwhile. No short fuses have a chance at going off.
It is annoying having to wait for an unreasonable time (ie lots more time than it takes to pay and make a small purchase) while the queue builds up, particularly if the next bowser is being blocked. I understand that times have changed, but just because of the 1% dishonest factor, we shouldn't all be penalised.
Another selfish aspect occurs when we have to park a bit further back to wait for a bowser, as the caravan will block the traffic flow, then the idiot factor comes in from the opposite direction to beat us to the bowser, and a few of his ilk follow his idea. That can cause a short fuse explosion.
At home it is not an issue - fill, move and park out of the way, go and pay.
