A farmer once told me that it's amazing how many
miles you can put on a bald tyre before the canvas shows through. Some one might want them for bush work and I know the remote communities would like to have them (long way to send them). A staked new tyre is a bigger loss than an old one. Only down side of course is wet roads and traffic police.
