We were there July 2007 & were a number of vans/trailers stored there. More secure, I think, than leaving it at King Edward River. Would not advise trying to tow anything to
Mitchell Plateau, unless there has been substantial work done on track beyond King Edward River, since 2007 season. This track is mostly "unmaintained" and was pretty rough then. While we were up there was one crash where driver lost it on a rocky corner (going too fast?) - VERY costly recovery job! We heard, a few weeks later, that there were a few vehicles/trailers/offroaders broken down on track and awaiting recovery. Also note that, even well after the track has been opened for the season, the King Edward crossing, though not too wide, can be a couple of feet or more deep and a bit tricky.
