Clutch in Peugeot 307Hdi

Bob&Deb

G'day one and all; I know this is totally removed from 4WD discussions, but there must be some Pugly drivers out there. SWMBO has a problem with the thrust race in her 307 Hdi 2002/03 build. Cannot seem to find a workshop manual, anyone know where I can get one in Melb ? We have had Pugs for 40+ years, motor/gearbox setup looks very similar to that of the 405 SRDT.is the disassemble process similar ? With all the electronics in this thing , what happens to the system if I just disconnect the battery to dismantle, or should I leave power hooked up to the car ?Any pertinant advice would be welcome.
Keep wandering . Regards Bob

Try 'Goggle' 307 workshop manual or look on Ebay -- I got one for my sons Mazda last week on Ebay for £10, new in CD form.

I'd reckon you would definately disconnect the battery before starting to pull it apart, cpu's and the like don't like partial blackouts.

Hi Bob, another Pug driver of 40+ years, but cant help one bit
I'm afraid. They have become too intricate for me. Used to swap a 404 piston before morning tea, but those days are long gone.
Currently still trying to wear out a 205si, 300k, & a lovely 405
auto petrol, 200k. Put 500k on a 504 diesel prior to that. Would
dearly love to get back into another oiler but not easy as I only
buy used on principal, but I am always looking....oldbaz.

G'day Oldbaz , we must be of a similar vintage. There a few oilers around, and reseonably priced. Currently we are running 307Hdi -205k's, 405SRDT-520k's, 306xtdt-220k's, all diesels. Have previously owened 403-500mls, 504PI-420k's, 504 diesel-220k's, 505 petrol- 430k's, 505 diesel 2nd hand, did 50k's then upgrade to 405SRDT. And to get away from it all, drive a 100L/C 355k's. I think this puts me in the need to be committed class. With regard to 307, looks like I will have to fumble around with it. I'm not prepared to pay the prices some other workshops charge, especially when it is work we can do.

Peugeoplus in Cheltenham are Peugeot gurus, they should be able to steer you in the right direction. At the very least they could supply a manual. 9583 3766.
