The Landy

Article Overview - Yengo National Park
Situated just 100kms from Sydney, this is a great day or weekend trek. The majority of the tracks in Yengo National Park are 4WD only, so lock in your hubs and discover the great views and scenery. View Full Article...
I took a drive down to Burragurra site yesterday (06/04/08) and it appears a grader has been put over the road between the Mt Simpson Track and the Burragurra Site. Not that ti was difficult previously, but it has 'ironed' out a couple of small rock steps. "The Landy"

G'day Gronk,

there is a gate at the George Downes Rd end, and perhaps the Boree track end too by now, that was the plan due to public liability issues. Entry is only via Yango Creek Rd or Howes Trail I believe. Howes trail was closed for a while due to creek crossing near Putty Rd being wrecked, don't know if it is open yet so Yango Creek probably the only current access.

Hi Gronk

The gate is at both ends and has been for sometime. I updated the trek notes late last year to take account of the changes. Still a good days outing from Sydney.......and worth the drive.
