Can someone inform me of the terrors of the Musgrave Roadhouse to Coen 103 kms strip of road which takes almost 9 hours. Is it a creekbed? Or maybe a croc sanctuary? 100 kms in 9 hours!! I did better than that in the Himalayas! Enlighten me please......and all the best....Van [Davy]

Maybe a data error in the submitted plot file for the area also. The driving information summaries are calculated from the submitted data so in the file we have for this area that is what is says. So if the person who recorded it say broke down or had a flat or similar it may effect the driving time calculations in the system.

If this is the case can someone please send us an update for this section and we will process it into the system

9 hours ? Crikey, it usually only takes me a couple of hours at the most. Perhaps the journey was done after or during the wet?
BTW if camping at Musgrave, be sure to be there when a plane lands on the campground :))

Hello All.

We are travelling to Cape York in mid May this year. Just wondering if the wet has ended or is close. The Rainfall figures seem to have dropped off, well according to land line last week anyway.

We are not on a fixed plan but it would br good to know how mush of the area is still closed roads.

Racq website is of some help but lacks a definition of "local traffic"

Any help or suggestions welcome.
