fitting rooftop campers

We are heading off to the Simpson Dessert and were wondering if someone can please tell us the best way to fit a rooftop camper to our 1998 Toyota hilux dual cab. Would we be better off fitting it to the cab or the canopy. We would rather fit it to the cab with rhino bars, but someone has suggested this may be unstable over rough terrain
Cheers Fran

Definately on the cab, you need to try and get the weight forward when climbing dunes.
Any Japanese dual cab already has far too much of the load behind the back axle.
