I was looking a run to Camerons Corner from
Thargomindah - Bulloo Downs - Old Tickalara -
Cameron Corner.
Is the run from Bulloo Downs - Old Tickalara on private property and if so does anyone have the contact numbers for the owners so I can get permittion. Please MM me if you do thanks.
Also has anyone done this run recently and what conditions is the track.
Thanks
Brian

Brian.
No problems. Council road. Just leave the gates as you find them.
Old Tickalaar is just off the road. Interesting just to have a look around.
Long day from Cameron to Thargo but a nice drive.
From the signs you will see, I don't think Bulloo Downs like visitors.

Hi Wim,
I am looking at travelling from Noccundra via Naryilco, Old Naryilco and Omicron to Camerons Corner - in September. Do you have any info about access along this track please? I have followed it using Google Earth and it looks
well used.
Thanks, Mike.

Yes it is a
well used track.
Prior to traveling call the corner store 08 8091 3872 and
check its condition.
Different country to Bulloo but still a nice drive.
The area around Naryilco can become impassable if its wet.

Wim,
I was planning to stay a night or two out on the track so was not rushing at all.
At least this way I get to see things and really enjoy the drive.

Brian.
From memory (not all that good these days) Bulloo Downs have signs which say "No camping".
You could contact Thyangra (don't have the number with me) as they have
farm stay and I guess you could
camp there. At the border end of the track it gets very open and windy.
If you went from Tickalara to Naryilco, then to the corner you may find a decent
camp in the start of the dune country.
The other option is to
camp at the Jump Up near
Olive Downs in the Sturt NP.
Check with NP to make sure the 4x4 track is open through the park to the corner.

Wim,
Thanks for that will
check out sounds like I'm better off going to C/Corner from Noccundra seems like less hassle. Will give the NP a call.

Brian.
In some ways the Bulloo Downs run is much nicer. Still worth the effort.
Which every way, have a good trip.
I am Three weeks away from Five weeks in the desert. I am just busting to get away.

Ring Bulloo Shire Council. Last week the Bulloo Downs Road was closed and they didn't know when it would reopen.
Cheers
