Garmin Cash Back $100 for Nuvi

Submitted: Wednesday, Jul 02, 2008 at 18:58

WA Joe

Garmin are offering a $100 cash back on some GPS units so I bought a Nuvi 760 today for $569 + free delivery so with the $100 offer = $469 I'm happy with that. You can download the form from the JA site then buy from a Garmin dealer like Contact Communications (hint) then submit form for the cashback.

Are you sure of that price . the GPSOZ site says they are $699 but the $100 off brings them to $599.

Andrew,
C C don't mention the $100 cashback on their site advt.. I think it's been already factored in to the $569 price. This is too cheap for you to get another $100 off. Everyone els has a price of $650 odd before the rebate. Have a look at GPSOZ.com

Yes Andrew,
Just clicked on the Nuvi 760 button at top of page and yes it has details of cashback separate to $569. Very cheap.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the heads up. Out of interest, what do you get for that price - is it just the GPS unit? I looked at their website and there wasn't any mention of cables, chargers, etc. I'll give them a call but was just wondering what you expect to receive.
Thanks,
Hugh

Contact Communications Pty Ltd replied:

Hi all, just to clarify our pricing as there seems to be quite a bit of interest in the Nuvi 760 price, we are still clearing our stock bought in prior to June 30, basically Garmin are now distributing their products in Australia and prior to June 30 it was GME (GME have done so since 1990) and we had some special pricing from GME till June 30 which we took advantage of and have priced our webstore accordingly. The bad news when our GME supplied stock runs out and we start with our Garmin supplied stock they will go back to around $629. (in about two weeks at current sales rate) The warranty and cashback offer are unaffected by either distributed product as Garmin will honour all ongoing support/offers for previously GME distributed products. hope that clears up any confusion,
cheers, Mike
