We were there in the last two weeks and stopped at
Coward Springs which is a small fee, clean facility and free firewood. Then camped at Alberga River which did not have water but was nice in the sandhills.
Before that there is the
Algebuckina Bridge with camp spots under it but also to the east on the water hole. Another water hole camp at Eringa Stationand maybe also at Abminga Siding but didn't stay at either.
Further south we stopped in the scrub off the
Woomera Road on the Mount Gunson Mine road. Friendly folk in there who will make you welcome. We camped in the scrub at the entrance to the mine area.
Give me a message if you need more info.
