A man's dog is a health hazard......

On a thought and a whim, thought I'll try to remember 'pops' old method setting up a bush compass today. Took the dog's plastic water bowl out into the back yard then pinched a gum leaf from a council tree.

Found a needle, gave it a bit of rub on the shirt, then put it down carefully on the leaf in the water.

Round about this time, Damn Dog must have realized I wasn't in the house, and came bolting out the back door and went strait for the bowl. The needle finished up lodged in the side of her tongue.

She started pawing and carrying like a pork chop until it was removed.

Stood there glaring at her. The ears and tail went down and she toddled off back into the house.

Later in the day we were out in the garage finalizing the packing, and I got up on the trailer to push the top down. Jumped off and heard a yelp from the dog and fell sideways. The right knee cracked again!

The thought came to me:

'One Day I'm going to stew that Damn Dog'

LOL

If I recall correctly this is not the first time you have posted about your run in with your dog. Was a ladder incident last time wasn't it?? ;)

Yes it was.

The knee is a bit of a misery, but we'll head off no later than Saturday morning anyway.

Kim,

I reckon that we will only get enough rain to make a dog stink and that will be it.

Hi ya Kim thats a classic LOL. You feel like wanting to bury them some times with the things they do and shouldnt do but doesnt matter how crook you get with them there waiting for you when you get home waving their tail. My'n drives me nuts when there is fire works or lightning around goes absolutely crazy and had demolished my back roller door by biting at the ridges and the centre lock, unfortunately you cant be home evertime some one sets off a fire cracker or a storm comes over. Feel sorry for any animal that is so petrified of storms or fireworks. Why they want to try and get out and run I still havnt worked out. You would think they would feel safer at home ??
