Hi all.
Was curious to know if any of you have heard of this, and if so, what are your thoughts.
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=L1ibPwda2wo
I know nothing about this and my other half is wanting to install one on our Hilux surf. Until I know more about it and have spoken to more people the answer is going to be "NO"!!!
The youtube link is an article they did on today tonight about it,
and the other link contains alot more detailed info http://smacksboosters.110mb.com/Smack.pdf.

Thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Hayley

Hi Surf girl ,
I know of a father and son who both have the homemade version on their cars . Think they have been running it for about eight months or so now . The father drives a patrol powered by a 350 chev and he reckons he has gained heaps of power and getting better fuel econmy . The son drives an early model diesel hilux and says that he has not noticed much in economy gains but the old hilux now gets up to speed heaps quicker . The patrol is fitted with three canisters (or whatever they are called) and the hilux only one . Only time will tell I suppose . As I have spent an absolute fortune on a full motor rebuild and new turbo core only 35000 kms ago I wouldn't consider running it on my vehicle .
If however the motor was a bit sad and would need replacing soon anyway I would seriously consider it .

You might be able to contact Les Addison on the 4wd monthly forum, he told me he was importing one from the USA and going to trial it on his 6.5 chevy diesel.

Have a good one
I thought I was only dumb but I have now been told I am an armchair expert. Quite chuffed about that I am.

Their is a chap in Toowoomba who is fitting these units to vehicles. The price he told me is a lot less than the units you can buy from the states.

I phoned him, and he told me that they are getting real good results from petrol cars, and less from diesel vehicles.

I am going to see him to get more info about them.

Let you know after I see him.
