I have had a set on for about 4 months.
Yes they are bright, I measured a useful 700meters illumination down the Cunningham hwy one dark night.
I have 1 spot and 1 spread beam, I think 2 spread beams would be better, would still light up further than 500 m and do both sides of the road as well.
Quality appears OK for the price. Both the spot and spread have a solid coverage with no black voids.
They survived the corrugated Fraser Island inland road OK but that was only around 20km long, still nothing broke or fell off, unlike the stone protector on my camper.
I can only comment on water proofing from the few really heavy downfalls Ive driven in, so far no leaks but I haven't put them under water in a deep crossing yet, my feelings are they would leak if fully submerged. If deep water crossings are a regular occurrence for you perhaps the Lightforce GTX would be a better choice as they are gortex sealed.
The fitting instructions are reasonable and the wiring loom is fairly good quality but a one size fits nothing affair, nothing insurmountable and easily customised to fit where you want it.
They aren't the top of the range in spots but Ive had other Narvas over the last 8 years and have had no problems with them.
I picked mine up on special for just under $300 and Im happy with them ATM.
Hope this helped.

Thank's for the info. How does the cup mounting system work in regards to adjusting the beam & is it a secure setup ? Have had Narva's 170's before & the only problem have been roo's around St George trying to demolish them for something to do !

The roo's around St George don't care what brand of light you have ;)

They were attracted to my Lightforce 240's last year and the roo came off second best.

IMHO any driving lights are going to aid you when night driving, but in saying that have you considered a head light upgrade instead??

I find the 240's good but if the get broken or flogged I won't be replacing them, I'll just upgrade the head lights.

Cheers Kev

Yes I have upgraded the H/Beams (200 Series Cruiser) with Narva Artic Blue Performance Globes (4000K) which give a much better whiter beam, but no better distance than the normal globe. Am happy with the low beam which gives a good spread, but want the legs for distance.

Ive found the cup adjustment on both the 225's and 175's to be no problem to adjust and neither set moved.
Have the securing nut done up a light finger tight, adjust to suit on a dark stretch of road and then do up smiling tight, put another nut on the securing bolt and do that one up snuggly as well.

Had a set on a 2005 Hilux. The light they put out is good but vibrate like anything due to the bull bar being airbag compatible. Put a set of lightforce 240's on and no more vibrations, we pulled them off and put them on a solid bar and they seem OK on there, but I guess you get what you pay for

I've got a pair of spread beams on mine and I like them. I figured at night I drive a bit slower and would rather the area immediately infront and to the side of me lit up rather than a km down the road.

Better than my old Narva 175s but should be at double the price. I also got mine for $299 on special, every few months one of the auto stores has them on special.

Agree with guzzi on the mounts - nice and simple.

I think the light from the spread beam is good but I think given you can adjust the beams on the lightforce lights they are more adaptable IMO, I reckon the light from the lightforce lights goes further up the road as well.
